Hopefully we'll be able to spend more time together, now that life has settled down a bit. It's rather hard to keep track of what's happening in such a hectic situation.
[ and true to her word, she doesn't. In a little over an hour she's knocking on his door, dressed very casually and carrying a small package in her hands. ]
[ he opens the door to his apartment as if he hasn't been stewing in his own thoughts for the past hour, and very nearly manages to not be remotely awkward about it ]
Well, I suppose it would only be polite to invite you in, under the circumstances.
[ He sweeps an arm towards the living room with a grand gesture, shutting the door after her to prevent the escape of the mildly curious cat that's come to greet her. His apartment is a bit larger than you might expect for a high school student living on his own, and cleaner, too, but otherwise it's fairly average. He doesn't exactly spend much time decorating ]
[ For a long moment, her attention is on the cat. She loves most animals and doesn't even try to hide her fondness. As soon as she's greeted the cat, she glances around before she offers him the little box. ]
I've been wanting to give you this since Valentines day, but I kinda lost my nerve when you were talking about you already got from admirers. Of course, they're not the same ones since Junpei ate all of them after I changed my mind... I just made these a few days ago in the hopes I could at least drop them by.
[ Inside the box is several small chocolates, obviously handmade. ]
[Just the thought of Shiro and Junpei in the same room pulls a soft laugh from her.]
I think I'm a little scared of that. Can you imagine how it'd go?
[She smiles briefly before he hugs her, and as soon as she catches her breath (since when had she been holding it?) she wraps her arms around him to return it.]
[ he rests his chin on top of her head, sighing faintly himself. It can't be helped, really. He can stew in what's best or what's right as long as he likes, but it comes down to the fact that he just plain likes her. The situation complicated things, and he himself complicated things, but he had to admit that Yukari was probably right-- there was something he could do about at least one of those. He'd been taking it for granted for a rather long time that he didn't particularly deserve the chance to be happy she was always talking at him about; if he couldn't change that, he could at least recognize it. ]
We should really make a habit of seeing each other outside of special occasions, I suppose.
[ this time, it was Minako's turn to sigh, even if the noise was muffled against his shoulder. The soft smile she's been sporting since arriving fades a little, no matter how hard she tries to keep it going. ]
I know. I was only teasing. [ He goes to put the chocolates on the kitchen counter; with the apartment's layout that doesn't take him out of her view, so he continues talking ] Feel perfectly free to step on my foot when I speak too vaguely.

I don't have any other secrets to keep from you and I'll do my best to keep from upsetting you. That's the last thing I want. I just... want you.

Where do you want to meet? There's no one here if you're looking for somewhere quiet.

Fancy seeing you here.

[ she seems awkward enough for the both of them right now. ]

Shiro ate most of those, actually. He should probably meet Iori-san someday.
...Thank you, for these.
[ That doesn't seem like enough, somehow; with a rueful sort of smile on his face, he pulls her into a one-armed hug ]

You suppose?
no subject
Well, not really. I'd like to, is what I mean to say.

I was hoping that's what you meant, but it's really hard to tell sometimes. You're always so nice.
no subject
I'm sure you wouldn't want me to be meaner, but I suppose I could stand to be clearer. Er, that is, yes, I could stand to be clearer.
no subject
I didn't mean meaner.

You better be careful offering that. I can stomp pretty hard.
